Arkansas folks speak up.........

Did you get them all? How many? I can't wait to see them!!
I sat on my hands and looked at the ceiling and almost had a heart attack when I saw that post. They were going for such an awesome price...I thought just one pair..trio..yeah, what's a couple more chickens? Oh wait. For me, at least a couple hundred more dollars to build them a pen of their own.

Then I thought no problem, Amanda will snatch these up. I'm still working on room for seramas.

On another note, I let all of my chickens out to freerange yesterday evening. My POL EE's and mixes with the cuckoolettes for the first time, along with my laying flock. I had to correct a couple of the mommas that wanted to peckinate a couple of my kids, but I managed to get everyone straightened out. Now they'll expect to come out everyday. LOL The young ones were easier to round up than the big girls.

Well, I made it over to Warren to get my chickens entered in the fair. I couldn't believe some of the entries. One pen said trio and the two hens looked nothing alike. One pen said pair and had two roosters in it. There were a lot of red sex-link, and a lot of what looked like barnyard chickens. Sure make mine look great! Too bad I'm only in for exhibition. But I'm going to try to go tomorrow for the judging and talk to the judge, he's supposed to be a "chicken man from way back" Would like to get his opinion on my birds, even if I can't win any prizes. I think I need to contact all the 4H clubs and make them deals on some good chickens next spring. Their lambs and hogs are first class. Maybe there were still some more to come in.

PS Hi jeff, glad you made it by!
