FYI for those who have not yet heard. Free parking and admission at the fair M-F 11am-1pm. In case anyone wants to save some cash. I think it is regularly $5 to park and $8 per person admit. So if you get there during the free time with all the $ you save you can get an extra turkey leg, funnel cake, and beer

Oh NO! The rain has flooded out the bottom of the coop! Zoii can get up on the perch but Eva is in my room. I don't want her to get worst with all this rain. She dosen't have a dry spot to get on. Mabey I need to build that new coop sooner than I thought. She's in a large bathtub size box until I can get home, rake out the wet bedding and tightn up the coop for her. She has food and water and I will check on her this afternoon. I will try to go to the state fair. I have never been to a fair.

I was a sheltered child.

I think we may try to go anyway. It looks like there will be a window of no rain starting about 11am. I am REALLY craving a funnel cake

Urban I would get on that new coop ASAP or raise that one off the ground a bit more in the meantime.

Eva will be ok, she's in my pantry. As soon as I get home from work we are gonna get on that coop. I THINK Zoii will be ok but i've been wrong before. I can't wait for 3:30 so I can get out of here. Hopefully the rain would have quit long enough for me to get some work done.

Just stopped by to catch up and wow! Lots of good reading, but man am I hungry now for Sushi and funnel cake!

It's so nice to see so many new members too! Welcome everyone!

I don't have much to talk about. I have eggs due to hatch this weekend, but these were about 2 weeks old and I was about to toss them, but a friend wanted me to hatch a few for her, so I put them in anyway. I think only 3 or 4 look to have some developement, but even those are doubtful. They're mostly Marans eggs so it's hard to say for sure if they're developing or just rotten, since they're dark and I couldn't see inside them well when I candled them.

Keep your fingers crossed for me anyway. I also had a couple of bantam eggs in there, but I can't remember who laid them, so if those hatch, they'll be surprises!
