I have been vaccinating my chickens for Nc/B and fowl pox. I was wondering if i am wasting my money and what diseases exist in arkansas that i should be vaccinating for?

Did anyone else go to the Fayetteville show? I only saw two others but I was expecting more.

Anyway, my boy's OEGB crele pullet got RV. He was so excited, it was his first time, and got to watch the judge pick her. We had alot of competition. He can't wait to go again.

I didn't think about that. I do know the hotels were full.

The hotels here get that way during home football games. A friend recently passed away and there were a lot if out-of-town people here for the funeral. Some of us opened our homes to strangers because they could not get a hotel room due to a home game.

I'm ashamed to say I forgot to go. I was busy that Saturday canning leek and potato soup from the garden and just forgot about it. I don't show anyway but I do like to go and walk through.

Hey Ridgerunner what kind of birds do you have, I am looking for some welsummer's or Cochins if you know anyone in our area that has some for sale?

I just have mutts (Speckled Sussex, Black Australorp, Delaware, and some Buff Orp ancestry) and right now I don't even have fertile eggs. Some irresponsible pet owner dropped a couple of large unneutered males off in the country for the good life. I wound up losing the heart of my breeding flock, so right now I have some six week olds in the grow-out pen to get back to a reasonable place.

Hopefully someone in this area will see this and be able to help. I think JimsFarmStand knows who has what in this state better than anyone else on this thread. He's probably your best bet to know who has either breed in this area.
