Arkansas folks speak up.........

What is the member name for the person in Danville with the Bantam Cochins and the Heritage RIR's?

By the way, I still have a Salmon Faverolle cockerel for free if anyone in this area wants one. He hatched from U of A stock.

Thanks.

Her username here I think is Luckypickens. I got birds from her a couple months ago and they are awesome. She has a facebook page too, Lucky Pickens Farm.

Thanks. I sent her an PM. I'd really like some of those heritage RIR! I have a yard full of blue and green egg layers but want some jumbo brown egg layers that will fit in with the flock and perhaps provide me a nice roo. My light brahma is history after 3 strikes of jumping at me. Not going to put up with that and if my EE keep jumps at my grandson through the run again, he is gone.

I didn't get any roos from her but the RIR pullets are just so sweet. I thought Brahmas were supposed to be docile? I have one now at 13 weeks. Seems nice and a gentleman to the ladies to boot so far...hope he doesn't turn mean!

I had heard the same thing. This one may have just been the exception that proves the rule. He tried to kill my chicks and all the hens were totally bare backed.

Well I guess there can be some roosters that are plain mean no matter what the breed. I really like Ol' Rooster, hope he doesn't turn into an exception. I was just a little worried because you are the second person who told me they had a mean Brahma roo today. Maybe it's this crazy hot weather, makin' them short tempered lol
