Walls of text just stink imo. Makes me not want to even read it which also stinks because it might actually be a great read. Personal preference.

That makes sense. For me, I don't really find much difference in reading it, I read it the same I think but I've never tried to read the same thing both ways and compare. Perhaps I should. But I can see how it could be confusing to read I suppose. Although that said, I get just as easily intimidated by long responses even broken up into paragraphs. I mostly look at the length of the response not so much how it's broken up or anything.

Sometimes I'm like wow that is way too much to read and respond to now and come back later

Think of a paragraph as a point where you would take a breath. Its not breaking up thoughts its like a comma. In my case my vision isn't as it should be and having a break of some sort allows me to back track a bit to make sure I read the sentience.

One of my bad habits is using Ellipses instead of commas. I happen to like them but I know it drives some English majors crazy... LOL. I use them while in conversation with people not in my own writing.

the only problem i see when you leave a comment on an article and it is correcting or asking a question you often upset the author. The author then flags it and it gets deleted. THEN the incorrect information is STILL there.

that is my pet-peeve

I love ellipses! But apparently others don't like them so much. I don't like when they are overused though... like between every sentence!
:D

:he yea that sucks

Oh yeah no I know, sorry, I wasn't saying to do away with the star ratings completely or that someone's wrong for only leaving them, just that for me personally, they don't serve much purpose. I would rather know why they gave the rating they did and what I did wrong so I can fix it for next time, you know? Or so I could help my flock by not using misinformation etc.

But I don't write articles so
I think that every author should have an "identity card" that will contain his experience in raising chickens , and any other relvant info. In this way the reader could know that the author isn't just random person that decided to write something out of the blue.

Great idea but:
These same people may just flat out lie and act like they have raised 1000's of chickens for hundreds of years.
