I actually did for the first time last month and the second one won grand champion. The first one is actually hanging in our congress man's office. I'm taking a drawing class at the college in two weeks, I'm so excited! There are so many things I wish to improve.  I love your farm animal sketches! I cannot draw free hand but yours turned out amazing. I usually end up with a printed picture and a grid so that everything is exact.

I would have voted on the first one being grand champion haha! Love your drawings! I used to draw a lot with pencils and still have my set but haven't done it in ages.

My favorite thing to draw is old people's faces. They have such character and are so interesting.

Speaking of wild birds... I found a Fox Sparrow standing in the garden that wasn't very active. I moved it to a place I see lots of other Fox Sparrows so it could get some shelter, but it just hopped back into the open..... then tragically a Kestrel got it.
