Yes, continue with the amox. This confirms why she's sick. Your instinct was correct. You have good instincts. This proves it.

This egg ruptured inside her and left yolk as a bacteria growing medium. The amoxicillin will reduce this bacteria. When the sulfa comes, switch over to that as it will target the inflammation in her oviduct that is harboring either the same bacteria or another one. We can't know this detail without expensive bacteria gram stain tests that can identify them. Any way, we don't need to know their names. We know they are there. We are coming for them.

Continue the calcium for a few more days to be sure she has expelled all of the egg material. Follow @LaFleche 's advice on staggering the calcium with the antibiotic dose so the hen gets the full advantage of both.

Your hen is now on the mend. Good work!

Thank you!
so it’s alright to give amoxicillin for more than 10 days and then another antibiotic?
should normal poops be returning?
And should probiotics be given too... staggered from antibiotics and calcium?
If she still has these white bloody poops is she fine?

Yes. The amox will keep the bacteria from multiplying and getting out of control and killing your chicken until the sulfa comes. You are wise to think of the probiotic to re-populate her intestinal flora which will be sadly lacking by now.

Her poop will normalize, but you may still see tinges of blood until she gets underway with the sulfa med. Her cecal poops should return as they often get blocked when an egg is stuck inside. I don't feel her poop should be a big concern. Her blockage is cleared or nearly so, and her infection is being controlled. Soon, it will be conquered.

Ok so we got the sulfa but it doesn’t seem like she needs it. Ever since the last problem that occurred with her that I asked about in this thread she has been fine. I think I am going to stop giving amoxicillin and calcium as well. Any input?

It has been 14 days on amoxicillin. She has been acting normal, eating food and not lethargic.
I haven’t seen her poop lately but tonight when she is roosting I will see if she poops. But in the previous pictures I have one of white poop dripping down her butt, well that hasn’t happened since that picture so she hasn’t been having running poop.

That's great! Fourteen days on amoxy is plenty. So tuck that sulfa away in case it's needed in the future. (you're lucky to have it on hand.) But start her on it at the first sign of lethargy again and blood in her stool.

It sounds as if the amoxicillin was up to the job, and the intestinal inflammation wasn't as bad as it could have been.
