idk if there is a painkiller for chickens but I would never give a chicken human medicine, it can be very dangerous,You could give him painkiller
Sometimes when things happen to roosters they can cut the skin right at the edge of the beak and the blood will run into their mouth or like you said tongue, or issue in his mouth. It took 24 hours but he snapped out of it. He ate 2 boiled eggs, a cup of wet feed, and now he is running around with the other chickens like nothing ever happened.
Why was his mouth full of blood yesterday?? His beak isn't cracked or injured, I saw him eating dry crumble and pecking at gravel. Maybe he bit his tongue when the hawk knocked him over.
thank you, when I saw blood coming from his mouth, I thought the hawk must of grabbed him and crushed him like a grape. I had never seen that kind of injury before and it was alarming.Sometimes when things happen to roosters they can cut the skin right at the edge of the beak and the blood will run into their mouth or like you said tongue, or issue in his mouth.
I'm so glad he is better!thank you, when I saw blood coming from his mouth, I thought the hawk must of grabbed him and crushed him like a grape.
Here he is today with his brother! Can you believe they are still best friends??
