I've been thinking about a solar dehydrator alot lately. This is one more reason to put one up.
They seem relatively easy to make.
Boil in salt water 5 mins
Rinse with warm water
Set in sun for atleast a week
Or 100° oven for 45 hours

How much salt in the water..... I looked quickly on youtube....

My house is in the desert and during the summer we get constant temps of around a hundred degrees... during the day. Plus lime is one of the citrus fruits that live well in my climate.... But they are so easy to buy a bag full. I want to try this one day.

Just read a brief description myself. I'm sure it can't be too much, tablespoon maybe for a medium sized pot. You certainly are in an ideal location for it. I'll expect some in the mail by the end of summer ;) although summers are the sameish up here citrus does better just down the hill in the valley.

I have read abaout the way of making this lemon, the white one are dried in hot air, I think tgat a food drier will be perfect, no boiling or rinsing needed, the black one is dryed in pots on a very low heat like charcoal.

The one I bit into was extremely salty.... so much so you would not have needed to salt the dish....

Almost as salty as those salted dried plums you can find in the Mexican food aisle.
