A brooder lamp is a heat lamp. The red bulbs are best. You will need a thermometer under the light source to measure the correct temperature for chicks. It should be between 95-99 degrees for the first week in the warmest area, directly under the lamp. There should also be cooler spots in the brooder so your chicks can escape the heat if they become too hot.

alright , ill put wet warm not too wamr paper towel on the chik for 10 minutes, have a break, come back half hour, try again

ok I put wet warm paper toewel over it for a bit, seemed the shell bit on neck started sliding off smooth, the side seems the same with shrink wrap?

I atached pics, and two smal vids

of the stuff, and now its chirping non stop

and it did a poop in there, so I wiped it with a dif paper tweol

I put it back in the brooder for now

I try again in hour with wet paper twol again?

im not sure if its also a thermometer

I put it in brooder Ill write what it says in hour or so right now says 28 c n 47%

I need to be away till 7 or 10 am tomroow , its 8 pm now

so I gues itl be alright by then

I read artcile just then, the stuff can be stuk like concrete, but yer, Ill go do stuff, until 7 or 10 am tomoroow

my dad has a fire place in living room

I check huimdifer thermometer said 37 c

thats too much?

also the litle chick was in a open box in the brooder, it jumped out and is with the other in the brooder

maybe I have to seperate if they start pecking at it

seems to have energy, or maybe its too hot
