Hey everyone, I'm really struggling with a hen of mine lately. You may have seen my previous post about her eating a ton of sand and getting impacted crop. I got so many live saving replies and was able to cure her!!! But now I have a new problem. The day I got her impacted crop completely emptied the next morning it was full again-but with liquid. I threw everything I know at this, anti-yeast cream, acv, withholding food, massaging, etc. I eventually as a last resort had to make her vomit just to relieve the pressure! I thought I had a handle on it after that but it has now turned into doughy crop. I don't know what else to try but she's one of my best layers and isn't even a year old! I'm hoping to make into town today to grab a crop bra from one of my friends as a last ditch effort. ANY advice is much appreciated. I heard someone mention maybe slippery elm could help (I don't have any on hand but could maybe get some if I know what to look for). Thank you all in advance!
