Ataching hardware cloth advice

oh I am so glad you're getting that K9 fences but they do sale their own canvas. What size are you thinking of getting ? I'm still thinking if I should get that or build one with wood frames. I wanted to cover the top with canvas and the other one with hardware wires, so they'll get some sun. It depends were you're putting them. Does that spot get a lot of sun ? Mine don't because of the trees behind it. You can check home depot if you like. Good luck

I use Loxit rings to attach hardware cloth to my kennel runs. Works Great and is permanent.

You're going to have a LOT of money tied up in those.

You can get chain link kennels much cheaper since you're going to reenforce it anyway

Hog rings or "J" clips would work for attaching HWC to the wire

Whatever you do, remember you're fencing out so put the hardware cloth on the outside of the posts. That way if anything tries to break in it will be pushing against the fasteners and the posts.

I know.. I know.. thats why.. if I could whip me up some tall 8 foot wood runs.. I would myself.. heck I may .. wink wink, ya never know..

but to be honest.. I really like the look of the black, and the way that system snaps together... My coop is on wheels.. so I was thinking, if I move it every couple of weeks, then I need to move the run with it, and since it comes apart, I could put back up... meself.. and I am only a tiny little thing..hehehe

soooooooooooooooooooooo, hence the idea of that type of run... but I may surprise ya'll with my building capabilities one day...

thanks so much for sharing

Well beleive or not, my whole concept.. is a run I can move around every couple of weeks or so.. my chicken coop is going to be on wheels, now I am actually worried about this whole, overhang thats being built on the coop.. how to ever attach the run, so its flushed to the coop.. I see a new problem for me

but yes, I thought too about the double awnings.. but wowzer, do I really want to spend this kinda money.. oHHHHHHHh yeah, thats right.. a dh who isnt willing to help me at all with this project.. and at the same time wants it to fit in our backyard and to not look like a coop.. the deal we made, if it looks like it isnt a coop and is far enough away from the house and looks decent, and blah.. blah.. blah.. yep can you tell I am mad at him

He could build me up a run... but would never ever.. ever.. ever.. take the time to do it.. LOL/
hence- IAM TAKING MY PROFILE PHOTO DOWN WITH HIM IN IT!!!.. LMAO

That is a very nice looking run! Mine (still building it) is identical on the sides. I'm debating whether to do make the top like yours, or to make an angled roof out of that corrugated roofing material. Does your sand stay dry enough with an open top? I have a tree near mine so I don't need the roof as much for shade as I might for keeping the run dry. Again, nice setup you have there - I love it!
