Attention west tennessee

Are these freaky chickens supposed to be pre cooked also?(Considering how red they are and one looks a little burned about the breast) I just wondered if they were dropping cooking from the job also.

i didn't think about that carolyn-- I guess you would need to buy sunscreen if you tried to keep these

I really though those first pictures were a joke until I kept reading and found out that they really developed these in Israel. They must not have caught on because I haven't seen any at the flea market

another thought -- They would be easier to buy clothes for than a regualr chicken--

Hey anybody there? Missed talking to you all but I guess everybody has been busy-- I went to the flea market today. Not a huge turnout but more than I expected. They had several chickens there but nothing that really caught my eye. The thing that did catch my eye was those really black small ducks-- East indian i think.. Really nice-- Also one guy had two pairs of Rouens? They were really nice. Any of you chicken guys raise ducks or geese? Or guineas? Didn't see any peacocks or pheasants today though. Hope everybody is doing okay and handling the cold spell well. Wayne

Oh btw --Still haven't found my neighbor evelyn's dum dum goose sinatra.. maybe he made it to the swamp back behind our place. Hope he's alright wherever he is. Big dummy!

Are khaki Campells the ones that lay so well.? I read about a breed of duck that can lay up to 300 eggs per year. Couldn't remember which one but khaki campell sounds right. I'm going to google appleyards right now. I'm not set up for ducks or even free ranging chickens right now. Wish I was-- I want a regular petting zoo. I really like those East Indian and the larger cayuga ducks-- Love that dark color and that green sheen to the feathers. Also saw a picuture of a white mallard-- I didn't even know there was such a thing!! But it was awesome!!----Wayne

Just googled images of Silver appleyards, Wow what a nice looking duck!!

What kind of ducks and what kind of Goose , Katie?

Wayne

chocolate calls, blue standard mutt ducks (one is a blue sweedish), and a gray and white goose (unknown breed)

be aware on thos east indies and all little ducks, they can and will fly away if you free range them.

My ducks were all hatched in May of this year so they have not started laying yet. The Campbells are supposed to be one of the best laying ducks and not become broody. I really don't expect mine to start until spring.

Wayne there is nothing to setting up for ducks. Mine won't even go to the pond. I keep them in a chicken tractor type set up and let them free range when we are at home. As far a water they just need to be able to get their nostrils submerged so they can keep them cleaned out.

Come on now!

You know you want some!

See I can be an enabler too!
