I was there about a year ago to purchase helmets for my kids horseback riding lessons, but have never been back.

Here is a link that I have heard some about and I thought some might be interested in:
To at least stay abreast of when shows are and who toi contact for show catalogs, Poultry Press is a great investment.

http://www.poultrypress.com/ is the link. You have to subscribe. They don't have the advertisements online.

The articles and updates from the different poultry associations are informative and entertaining also. They oftentimes cover show prep as well.

Yes I did! The 18th is the trade day. I will probably try to be there around 8 am. I don't have anything to trade, really, but i will see what i can try and maybe I'll bring some of my marans, just to show.

Have a safe trip tommorrow! Please write and tell us how it was. Hope you have a great time. Please keep on reminding us about the 18th too. My memory is getting worse every year! Maybe I can get off to Jackson then. I can usually get to the flea market here but kinda hard most of the time to go far. I have three kids at home a 67 year old mom who has her 91 year old mother here. Somebody gave me a dozen eggs the other day and three were green, My grandmother told me to go buy the hen if the guy knew which one layed it! She fell in love with the egg !! She doesn't even know what the chicken looks like. We bring one of our chickens in to see her a couple of times a week and she really enjoys it!! She's not able to walk around to the coop so we bring em in the house to see her. Well i guess I got kinda off topic sorry. Any hope you enjoy tommorrow -Wayne in Huntingdon

hey timbo-- Been meaning to ask how your dog is- You may have posted it but maybe i missed it. Also Rebecca the other day were talking about going to the flea markets in kentucky and Mississippi. I wanted to add that i usually went with my great uncle. It was usually 3 or 4 people in the cab of his truck and we rode 30mph come heck or highwater. He once got a ticket for driving too slow! His name was Tom Bettie from Medina Tn.

Hey I went yard salin' yesterday and found a nice cage for only $5.00 !!

cwc362 - It was always my dad and me at the flea markets - sometimes momma would go too. They are both going with us today. They came up to see the chickens yesterday. I think I am going to have to make momma a small coop...she is catching the fever!

OK, so the 18th at 8am. I will probably only get to stay until 11:00, but I can't wait. I may bring something to trade, will just have to see what i can find.

Hey ya'll my dog is doing much better. thanks for asking. He's just about to get back to his hyper self. Still couldn't figure out exactly what was a wrong to start with. I went to trenton trade day this morning and baught some Porcelain Millie Fleur D'Uccles hens and a rooster. there was only 1 vender with poultry but he had a crap load of different kinds and many he didn't bring. i got his business card, if anyone was looking to buy any. they said they wasn't going to be there tomorrow. i'm still considering going to sell some frizzle and a goat. it wasn't 6 vendors there period. they are trying to get the word out to people that they are there and need morevendors or they will have to close down trade days for good. I hate to see that happen so i figured i would go setup just to help. So pass the word around to people interested in sell things. if sometings not done we'll lose that place to trade. How was reelfoot? Good i hope. I really love going to new places to check out the goods. i'm hopeing to go to hunington to check it out one day i've never been there. talk to ya later

Glad to hear your dog is doing better. One of the guys who comes to the flea market in Huntingdon lives in Trenton, But i never got his name. He usually has another guy with him. I've bought my cochins from him and some little barnyard banties. If I get to go this tuesday and he's there i'll try to remember and ask him. Hope all you future chicken club members are doing well tonight!-----------Wayne

I think we really have a good start to something here. I think I will bring some pure cuckoo marans cockrills and maybe a few mixed young pullets. That's really all I have to sell, but I may bring a trio of my breeding marans, just for show.
