Do you know of any shows in the NW Arkansas area? I have never shown poultry, but I would love to.

I agree with you............Very pretty birds...........My 10 will be here on Wednesday, Once they grow up, and if you still would like a black............Maybe we could trade birds?

Where are you located? We are in Missouri...........Once these arrive we will order 10 more...........We could only buy 10 at a time.

That would be cool. I live in Bentonville, Arkansas. I have actually been to Fredericktown, Mo. My ex's family lives in Potosi. You are about 6 hours away.

An fyi from my experience from breeding blue to blue or blue to splash ameraucanas....

I don't prefer to do it. I have found the resulting blue offspring from the above matings are very light in color (drab), and have poor lacing.

I think you would get better lacing if you had a black gened bird in there. I also think the color contrast would look outstanding!

From what I have read, I believe the desire is to have a bird with darker blue plumage.

I did a search and the two I came up with were

April 5 in El Dorodo (saw it here)
and
May 3 in Charlseton (saw it here)

I am from CA, so I am not really familiar to what is going on in Arkansas, but I hope this is helpful.
