MP, let me know when you want some more SS eggs this fall and I'll switch roosters accordingly.

I am uploading pics of my lone SS chick now. I think he is 7 weeks old. Any guesses on gender?

You know that's not what I want to hear! For once, someone here actually wants a roo! I would like an SS chick to grow up and replace his dad, who has gotten over trying to pick fights with me and DW now, but thinks it's necessary to pop my kids. We can't let our favorite group of girls out to wander the yard because he is not trustworthy. SOOOO...I need this guy to be a cockerel.

BTW- anyone know what's up with his feathers? He looks "spikey" compared to Katy's babies.

I was just comparing him to some pictures of my older ones when they were about 8 weeks old..you can't see the pullet too well to the left.

I thought maybe the picture was from a windy day.
