ATV Accident WARNING graphic pics Updated pics

My brother had his ripped open when he was riding a bike and fell. He was in shock and did not even realize what happen until he went to check out the cut he thought was on his thigh. He had to get 5 stitches. All this happened when we were camping in West Virginia, and the nearest "hospital" was a little office in the middle of a makeshift town square.

My uncle sent his a basket of nuts as a get well present.

I like your uncle's warped sense of humor!

I am glad to hear that your grand son is doing okay. I hope he heals with no more problems. I would hope you could get custody of your grandson, it seems some one needs to protect him from his mom and her boyfriend. I also worry about the boy who was on the atv with your grandson, it sounds like he feels guilty and might need to know there was nothing he could have done.

:hugs for you and your grandson.

The other boy does feel bad but after what we found out, he shouldn't feel bad. It should be the mothers BF to feel bad for goading them into it. We told the other boy that he probably saved my grandson's life because he kept pushing the ATV off of him everytime it flipped over on them. He was lucky to not get hurt with all his efforts to keep my grandson from getting hurt. Neither of the boys are very big. My grandson is 10 and a skinny fella and the other boy is 14 or 15 and although taller, not much bigger than my grandson.

oh he was so so lucky!!! I have seen some horrible accidents and the drivers didn't fair as well as your grandson did!! Thankgoodness he's ok!!

Prayers and healings.Thank you for sharing the pictures. Will show my kids. Will the adults in the situation be charged with something? Maybe there isn't anything to be charge with, but I am hoping the adults take personal responsibilty for this rather than blaming the teen driver of the ATV.

I posted this in hopes it would save at least 1 life. I'm so glad your changing your mind of no helmet. My grandson has already lost 3 weeks of his summer not being able to play like he loves to. He would prefer to be outside and can't because of several reasons, bugs, dirt, sweat which all lead to infection then there is reinjuring himself. He can't even get in a pool right now and it's blazing hot outside. At least he's been able to go to work with pappaw today and tomorrow because he will be kept out of danger and the elements and gets to be around farm equiptment which is a dream for him. So not all is lost of his summer. He got hurt just 4 days after school was out.

Spread the word and get more to wear helmets.
