Exchequers are a lesser know variety of Leghorns. They lay A LOT of large white eggs... altho, not as much as the the production white leghorns... Sometimes in the middle of summer I swear they lay twice a day! Chicks pop out of the egg at a full run... LOL (really!)
This is an extremely healthy and hearty breed. Flighty in temperament.
Exchequers are a very beautiful bird! Black and white feathers, red comb and wattles (comb on the hens flop over) bright yellow legs... when free ranging on green grass with a sunny blue sky, they are the most striking chickens I own. I know you will love these birds too.
