Auction goers: Tip your helpers? (rant)

Im sorry but even 40.00 for 7 hours sounds like a heck of a deal to me.. Heck Im a manager abd after taxes dont take that much home in a day.. I would just inform New Friend he kind find easy money elsewhere...

nor did he have to pay taxes out of it...I think OP is more then fair on what was paid.​

Npt only that but minus Taxes taken out if he worked a regular job.. Also I would have started deducting his lunch, snacks, drinks, etc..​

Thanks y'all. I just don't want to be the Mean Lady, but I think that the parting comment was, well, all about "goodbye." He wasn't getting it that I was letting him into our family. There is a culture we have in my neighborhood. We work our kids & eachother's kids. The kid who drafted my son to dig a pond, helped my son paint our boat's hull on Saturday. Work is good. If my boy is hauling pavers for someone, I know he is not getting into trouble.
 
Can we please take into consideration that by saying "all of the kids nowadays" is hurtful to those of us that work hard for our money and see no problem in getting a hot meal out of a days work?

Not all of us feel automatically entitled to things that are earned by hard work.
