I gave it a like on Youtube. Thanks for posting.

I set eggs 8/8.

I bought a surprise dozen from 'revolutionmam'. I know what a few of the eggs are, but some of them I don't!

I'm obsessing guys. I am not a newbie to hatching but golly I want to see some sign of progress. Been in lockdown a full day and not a sign. When I candled it was quite apparent there was life in my eggs. Then I hear about some of you (not naming any offenders

LOL - been there! It was definitely worse incubating in an incubator because I kept worrying I had messed up temp and/or humidity at some point during the three weeks and none would hatch, so if I didn't see signs of action early in the peace, I'd worry. This time was my first time with a broody and it was a completely different experience as I just trusted her to take care of it all, and was stunned to find a chick on day 19.

By the end of day 19, I had 5 chicks. Today is day 20 and 8 have hatched. Sadly one died but there are now 7 fuzzy butts clamoring for mom's attention. I've just offered them food and it was so precious watching her teach them to eat, clucking gently to them the whole time. She's still sitting on 3 eggs but when she adjusted her position for a moment, I got a good look at them all and didn't see any pips. I guess she'll know if they're duds and give up on them at some point if they don't hatch. Then I keep reminding myself they're not even due until tomorrow so if she's not ready to give up on them, I'm not either.

That's exactly what's going through my mind right now: did I mess up somewhere during the process? Lol I've done everything just fine and I KNOW eventually they will hatch. I've done broody hens twice this summer and I did like having the peace of mind. They both took care of everything. But nothing really beats having baby chicks in the house for a few days...not too long cause we all know how smelly they get.

Still nothing happening on my end but hatching day 21 isn't until 4:30 this afternoon and I can't get too anxious until day 23 right?!
