August 2 - Setting eggs today ... anyone else?

I just candled and one is definitely not developed. I dropped one

and one is questionable. That puts me at 27 out of 30 for sure developing! Yay! Looking forward to hearing about the rest of yours.

I'm a super impatient and curious person! I'd candle everyday if I could!!

I candled my 13 Silkie eggs and all 13 are developing...

...12 more days to go!...How is everyone else doing?

4 of my turkey eggs are showing no sign of development (out of 19).. another is debatable..
same for chicken eggs.. 4 showing no signs of life (out of 14 eggs).. and i have one odd one that I'm not sure of yet

Did more candling last night. The four that weren't developing last week got thrown out. Cracked them open to make sure. The rest are still growing nicely. Lots of movement on the inside ) SO EXCITED FOR BABIES!!!

My hen kicked one out of her nest. It had developed but was nowhere near the 11-12 day development that the eggs should be at so I guess she made the right choice. I wish it hadn't been one of the green ones but at least there are five more still under her and so far she seems happy with the rest of them.

Just finished candling my 2 week old Silkie eggs and out of 13 I had one that quit...The other 12 look great!...So far this is the best I have done at this point...I am trying the dry incubation method and it seems to be working so far...Hopefully I will get the rest to hatch out!...Good luck everyone!

You are doing better than I. I candled last night and found that the one egg I wasn't sure about didn't develop very far and quit on top of another two that also quit. Out of the original 30 I'm down to 25

Here's to hoping the rest all make it! I can't wait to meet these chickydoos either.

Well did my final candling and locked down my eggs...One more quit so I have 11 eggs left...How is everyone else doing?...Now the waiting and watching begins!...Good luck all!
