Oh man, that’s too bad! Glad the other eggs are progressing though!
Thanks!😊 I was really hoping to see what the Shetland Hen’s chicks would look like. Her eggs often have meat spots in them, I wonder if that has anything to do with it.
My rooster is very fertile and I have seen him mate her many times.
The eggs were refrigerated for a while but that didn’t stop the other ones from progressing!🤷‍♀️

Interesting observations, now I’m going to have to go down the Google rabbit hole lol. Do people put much effort into studying chicken fertility? Are they not “important” enough to get studied or can they just get replaced easily and it’s not “worth the effort?”
