I have been known to check on day 2 1/2… Can sometimes see some beginning veins already then in some eggs.Ugh still 2 more days till I can candle some!!! I have no idea how people make it to day 5+ with out candling. I have a hard enough time waiting till day 3 before I peek. Lol

Interesting observations, now I’m going to have to go down the Google rabbit hole lol. Do people put much effort into studying chicken fertility? My rooster is very fertile and I have seen him mate her many times.
The eggs were refrigerated for a while but that didn’t stop the other ones from progressing!
