I've had 4 great hatches this year, so it was bound to happen eventually. I've got 6 of my eggs in with that 1 so it won't be lonely, lol, hoping to give them to my broody (I really don't like raising chicks, lol)That's so sucky!!!! I am sorry

This is my second broody, my OE last year did a great job! I keep mine inside for about 3 days to make sure everyone is eating and drinking, then outside they go. I've got a 6x8 breeding pen that I added a grow out coop to, it works great! By 2-3 weeks they are running around with the bigs, my roo adores chicks! Pics, just cuz they're cute, lolI've never experienced a broody..this will only be my second hatch...
But I do like being in control in the beginning...perhaps of I had a broody I'd try her...but I don't think any of my breeds are bred for broody besides my BRs but they are still young...I wouldn't let them mother anyway...(21wks)
My guy is still young, but inwatched herd the 5wkers into the run the other day while everyone else was free ranging...my roo adores chicks
I have had so many good ones too. So was shocked, but ya guess they all can't be good.
