August Hatch-A-Long

this little one I got was a cheap one off of amazon and handled the high humidity pretty good for doing it all in one had 4-5 chicks hatched, 7 that were removed due too being infertile on day 7is a pretty good counter top. even with the hovebator incubators for the larger hatches I use the little 2 window for incubating and the larger 1 window for hatching as it handles the high humidity of hatch better

This is the small one I got and second time hatching in it

they are so precious, mine go out for short visits during the day time as mine have never been completly away from day 1 from the flock, flock stays mostly clear of them though after a few days they start warming up, they are jsut scared fo broody hens and know miniatures = a mean momma , the rooster was over for a quick peak at the babies that hatched and was talking to them, one good rooster he takes them baby charges seriously as he's head of flock when i'm not out there, and the hens that wouldn't take them are trying to show them how to be a chicken,. All 4 our up and about now so tomorrow getting a little box to take them out for adventures while it's still warm as they seem to enjoy it, still they don't get free access without a broody watching over them, it really makes integrating them a lot easier

Seems like a nice little incubator!

I had my doubts about it when I got it as I hatch at 5k+ elevations with no plugs or vents to leave open, but it is doing great at it without freaking out with humidity at lockdown, sits in little Styrofoam insulation around it as incubator is actually hard plastic so does nicely if power goes out at keeping eggs stable has a fan too
