August Hatch-A-Long!

Well good news and maybe some bad news. The last egg in my incubator hatched tonight. The hen hatched 1 out of the seven on Day 18 in the morning. This afternoon she stepped out with the new chick and left the six other eggs. I put her back on the eggs along with the chick when they started to roost. Does the hen know the other 6 won't hatch or is she thrown off because one of them hatched early? Should I wait if she will continue sitting on the rest of the eggs or do I try to incubate them? Help advise please.
she'll probably raise your incubator babies...don't wait to long though

I am beyond nervous I have 30 eggs in the bator due to hatch the 26th I tried candling them yesterday but I don't see anything

I should have not done that because I don't really know what I'm looking for (it's my first hatch) and now i'm really nervous that none will hatch

. This is driving me crazy lol. I think if none hatch I will be looking for a new bator the last few hatches my mom did in it (it's hers and still air) she didn't get any :0( I asked the hubby for a new one at tractor supply Circulated air nothing special hope santa brings it so I can hatch some this spring :0)

well I have a little guinea that hatched yesterday after noon....WASN'T one that had been contaminated...it's got a white belly...it's dad is a lavender and some of the babies are feathering with his color laced around the normal grey...very beautiful...anyway it's in the delivery room chirping back and forth with some babies that are pipped!!

my pea is due Thursday but no action yet...I almost feel a dread feeling like don't get my hopes up about it!

what did you see in the eggs...how many days have they been in the incubator?

Day 7 of incubation has finally arrived!!! I was so excited to check on my little babies this morning and am happy to report that 7 out of 9 eggs are veining and moving beautifully. 1 was clear and the last has veining but I don't see any movement.

I've never ordered shipped eggs and have read a lot of horror stories that had me quite worried. Not to mention, this is my first batch of chicken eggs!!!! I've only had one hatch prior.....my husband brought home 17 Muscovy duck eggs he rescued from a nest that was being destroyed. Only 7 were good and they had been incubated for quite some time. They hatched 10 days later with a very badly made homemade incubator....we didn't know what we were doing. They are now 14 months old and thriving beautifully!!!

If it's veining there is life!
the first 10 days and the last 3 are the most difficult for the embryo....you didn't say what you incubating?
