August Hatch-A-Long!

Ok I eased it off her nostrils at least but she keeps thrashing and trying to chew the membrane and is making it bleed. Not a lot but enough I'm freaking out. With the paper towel and the mist of warm water I got the humidity up to 80. She's back in and still chewing...

Anybody still here?

She's chirpiing a storm but when one of the other eggs answered she settled down a little. Still trying to eat her way out but no new blood for a few mins. UGH! This is way too stressful! I'm already attached to her and I haven't even seen her yet! How can you guys do this all the time? I'm worried about the fact I opened the incubator but I havent let the humidity get below 70 since I started. It's actually at 85 now so I hope it doesn't hurt the others...

LOL settle down! I bet I have assisted half as many as I have hatched! Just check it every hour, 2 if you want to nap some. Each time you should see a little less blood.

she's going to be fine...she'll probably hatch herself tonight...all the "thrashing" will help her absorb her blood and yolk if any is left...keep updates...I'll keep checking cause I'm worrying with ya

I'm sorry. I'm just worried I may have done more harm than good. She can move a little more now. Saw her trying to shake some body part I couldn't identify. It has some old blood on it but she seems to be more comfortable and is napping. I don't want to open the bator anymore for fear of hurting the others but should I dampen the membrane on her every couple hours? Or is the high humidity I have going enough? It'll prob drop back down to 80 within the hour.
