oh dear I'm sorry...were they shipped eggs?
No they were my own eggs. :

what did they incubate at including humidity and then at lock do what was the humidity?
It doesn't say, but I filled up both water pots.

did you incubate them with both the water pots filled?
For the first 18 days one water pot was full and for the last 3 days both water pot were full.
well that sounds right....how long were they pipped?
About 1 day.
how many eggs...and did you open them to check and see if you could find a reason? see if the membrane was glued to them...I had a duck just last night it's little head was down in the small end there was no way it could pip it's air...I tried to save it but it died anyway...I usually only have your kind of problem with shipped eggs...check and see if it was glue in the shell by the membrane

try not adding any water until the 18th day...then fill both pots...that's how I incubate works really well for me

Hmm, okay. I have done hatches before and they have worked that way. Thanks!

Guess who decided to hatch at 3am?

400

Dad: blue splash (copperish?) Marans
400

Mom: black sex link
400

Fuzzy butt: splash of some sort. Has a grey dot between its shoulders
400

It had a tiny vein attached to the brownish grey blob that is usually left on the shell. I did a "no-no" & opened up the bator (it was 10% higher than I wanted anyway) & dabbed it with iodine.
On day 17 I took everything out & disinfected the bator again. *fingers crossed* things go smoothly. It's day 21 today. 2 eggs to go! I will be surprised if they hatch, hopefully one will more will hatch or this thing will be in a sling across my chest for the next 24-48 hrs lol

You've heard of attachment parenting....this would be attachment chicken keeping! Lol, I would certainly do it!
