they are young adults!

Here are the last 2 that hatched. Couldn't disinfect the brooder so I lined it with paper towels & put more bacitracin on their open bellies. *fingers crossed* they make it. This little one on me is making such a fuss. I could never replace a broody though

Oh I LOVE your Dobies! Especially the black and tan one, I want one! The little chick is totally cute too :)

Day 19 on the last solo egg and there is a beginnings of a piping started at 7am. It is 3:46 now and there are more cracks but not through the egg yet. Went to check on the hen that is 1 day behind my incubator eggs and she has one already hatched and dry on Day 18. You can't beat a broody hen! Score 1 to 0. I am so excited.

oh my gosh...a little guinea hatched yesterday and died...then today a little guinea hatched and started bleeding from every orifice....I can't bring myself to cull anything but I couldn't just leave it like that...I took it to my neighbor that's an older chicken guy! and I left

the only thing I can think of is that these eggs had been in the coop under a hen that wasn't following through and twice I found eggs broken all over them....I'm thinking they got sick in the shell from that! poor little things...now I have others hatching, I so don't want them to go through anything like that!
I'm so sorry that must have been hard. Fingers crossed on these next babies.
OMG I'm so sorry!!! that's My nightmare!!!! I can't cull anything. Pray for me!

That's awesome where do you find these chickens? Seems like I can't find a strong bloodline anywhere! :-/

Thanks! We got her at the local shelter for $90! Lol she's a great dog. So is the mister!! Love my dobies!!
I handle all of them as often as I can but there's always the ones that for some reason you just seem to carry around!

This one puts up so much of a fuss & then finally I hold it & all it does is peck at me lol I'm holding it now to calm it down. Has to be a boy, so high strung I really hope all 3 make it. I'm caring for open navels :( my bator ran too hot all night. & if anything takes a turn for the worst I would have to put them down since hubby is working OT this week.
