August Hatch-A-Long!

They say a watched pot ..

.....well I was gone today day 20...got home at 8pm Expected to maybe see one small pip
4 have hatched already and 3 other pips.!!
Usually mine are a little late so a big surprise
2 black mixed which I didnt want to be black wanted Lavender..but oh well
Then 2 lavender Orps or one LO and one Lav chick from a part enlgish splash hens egg Her first baby but dont know which of the 4 chicks that is .....DANG!
.It isnt splash like its MOm .. The available roos are lavender or black
Anyway.......... here we go again!!

Oh glad someone just said it help the chicks to be urged out to be rolled as I cant watch the chicks climbing on other eggs and rolling the pipped eggs all over.Always creeps me out,.
IM gonna think this thought now.... its a Good thing ...... its a Good thing !!.

no!! it can take a day or more to hatch...it pips to get air not because it's ready to hatch!! it's still absorbing yolk and blood!!!

for the first time hatchers.. COMMENT.....as I said earlier never gets old...since I got home at 8pm ... its almost 10 now I have been across the room to the bator at LEAST every 5 minutes LOL You just cant help to go look ...just cant Touch.... so I will go to bed soon and see what I wake up to..right after I see this last 4/5th hatch guy come out.
Hes out YEY ! Another LO.
I was so into this hatch I just let a cup of milk burn to not one drop left but scum... in the not stove but microwave. SMART

Yeah can wait to see pics :0) I can't wait to see if mine hatch they are a mix from 2 different farms so its a big surprise as to what will come out :0) nervous and excited!!!! Congrats on your babies

I have my first hatch in the bator and their due Monday and its killing me cause the bator is down at my mom's (I work there during the week) I can keep an eye on them all day but this weekend is gonna me I have her checking them so I'm waiting for a call that ones hatching and I'm running driving down there right away lol

This is the end of my broody's 21 day. How long should I give the other eggs to hatch? This far only one has hatched 2 days ago.... so I placed water and food in the nest box and did see her eat and drink from the dishes.
