Really, the best thing is to leave the house for 12 hour stretches. The stress of "WHY ISN'T IT HATCHING FASTER" drives me batty. I worry, I want to intervene, I know I shouldn't, I have to yell at myself, and leave the room.
Also, since it sounds like this is your first hatch, I would highly recommend reading through the assisted hatch article a few times to help keep your fingers out of the incubator.

Also, after reading through the article many times, I am much better at understanding how much I can meddle without actually killing the chick. And I REALLY have problems keeping myself from meddling.
Yeah, I dissected them all, so interesting to see them completely enclosed within the membrane! I'm wondering if it's due to me moving them on Friday(lockdown day). Maybe that could have effected their positioning? The eggs with twins in it did indeed have twins. One chick was pretty much fully formed but the other one was funky looking...I should have taken pictures. Neat stuff. So although I only successfully hatched three chicks I'm happy! I also have some partridge brahmas arriving at my post office today so my little ones will have lots of friends
