The feathers themselves are not pointed, the pattern is making them appear so.

You can't expect them to be like arrow heads They are certainly not rounded like my hens

Being a mixed breed and the runt,while also being a house chicken with little exposure to other chickens does make this a difficult call.

Not me personally. But we live on a ranch. That's how I aguired August. I do however have a turkey in convalescence I am caring for right now They are housed next to each other. The turkey is at least a month older. Another barnyard mix. Bourban and bronze we think. Hen we think?
