Wish I could play again. I loved the mystery part last month. However, some chickens have decided they do not have to lay eggs if they do not want to.
I have a broody OEG hen, another raising couple week old babies, so that leaves just one of those laying.
Silkies are not liking the heat, or anything else right now and are on strike.
Hamburgs are on strike too.
Layers have decided they want to work on commission and are on strike until I agree.
Ducks..........well, the mallards were laying.........pekin is but I took her drakes away because one of them hurt her leg, and I have a pen of 2-4 month old ducks with some just starting to lay - not even sure which breed is laying either.
i have a hamburg hen too chicky. she runs arround looking pretty... no egg in over a month... i can tell its hers cause she is my only white egg layer.... sigh oh well.
I am in 1x this month. Praying for more different stuff. I got lots of guinea eggs now. I saw an ad on craigslist for week old muscovy ducklings and my resolve to not buy anymore creatures crumbled. I was just going to buy 2 or 3, I came home with 4. Just lucky it was only 4 since she had 18. I needed a friend for my lone muscovy that hatched from pdsavages egg. It just doesn't seem to be very bonded to my pair of welsh harlequins. Anyone know at what age the drake starts making his grunting noises? Right now it sounds to me like a girl. The ducklings are chocolate and white.
