I knew PD Savage had me figured out so I just tried to be as quiet as possible. Sorry but all my blue stuff is still growing out and hasnt started laying yet ;0)

OK I TOTALLY Forgot about the numbering system once they started pipping (in the excitement I guess). the solid black one came out of 2. Dark brown egg. HOWEVER A number 3 just hatched from a VERY light brown egg. It looks blue with a alot of white underside and under neck. . I have 2 more number 2s that are hatching now.
I could see how the first one (A number 2 could be a black copper maran) OR a black sexlink but the second one (a number 3) the egg color is not close to any marans i've ever seen.
OH I will post pics! Crap my camera just died so thats gonna have to wait.

By the way I have 8 teeny quail running everywhere in my brooder, and the LF eggs went into lockdown this morning. Those little fellows were a first for me. Thanks

this one must have gotton mixed because she is blue and white chicken from a pale brown egg. THE MYSTERY CONTINUES!! LOL!! I used to raise cuckoos, hatched alot of them. Honestly she looks sort of like some of the blue marans babies i've seen pics of but not the egg. the egg color reminds me of a RIR egg or something.
The black a number 2 the blue-ish one with all the white is the only number 3 (the other one quit) adn the egg is the egg the blue one came out of.
The two darkest eggs are the 2 remaining 2s that are pipped, the lighter brown one is a 1 and no pip yet

The large fowl will probably look like the red refrigerated eggs I hatched friday. Except your eggs were fresh from the nest box
RIR hens, BO hens, Araucana hen ( I dont think u got a green one). The rooster is a big blue Americauna mix.

Nice,sexlinks means I won't have to guess who is a pullet....

I did have a light Brahma hen in the same pen with my Cuckoos but I thought I had her out when I gathered eggs for the swap. Who knows.........It may be a light brahma Cuckoo mix then. The black sexlinks are from my Barred Rock Hens covered by My Rhode Island Red Roo. This has certainly been fun for me anyways.......you guys have all been good sports !
