Augusta Maine Poultry/ Farm swap April 28th TSC

So I may be able to go to this swap afterall! I am not sure what I will be bringing for animals, but I will be bringing some supplies and stuff! I will be looking for chickens and rabbits, chicks, etc.! Hope to see yah there!

I'll probably have a few olive eggers unless they sell this week, have had a bit of interest in them in the past few days. Maybe some tomato plants. Depending on the weather I might bring my two week old chicks, but I doubt it since it says it'll be 52 right now. They're off their heat lamp, but it's not anywhere near as cold as 52 in the house.

Bobbi (Hoppy) sent me your way. I just joined BYC and am trying to get my kids into 4H with poultry. I thought fleurs would be a good choice. Could I meet ou in Augusta to talk and buy?

I would be very interested in Lavender Ameraucauna hen or pullet(s) for myself. I already have a roo.
BTW its so cool to see Mainers in BYC. I hope to get to know you all better. Just moved to Bowdoin farmstead this year and chickens were the first thing to arrive. Magpie Ducks on the way! I have a lot to learn about how to use this site and swaps... like what does "PM" mean?

welcome to byc.
pm means "private message" unlike this which is a public message.

I will bring paint silkie and sizzle hatching eggs if anyone is interested. getting some beautiful spotted babies. these will hatch spotted or solids. if they hatch white, they can get spots up to 5 months later.$30/6

Okay, so in an effort to redeem myself, I am getting AmerAUcana hens :) Sorry. Clearly a newbie, but I'm on here everyday reading so I'll try to not be so... new in the future :)
Apparently the hens and roo I'm getting are from the Shaffer line (still trying to learn about that) and I contacted HappyMtn in here as she sold them. Just waiting to learn more so I can spell everything correctly- haha, A baby sleeping on my lap makes typing risky.

Quick question: The Comet pullets hubby bought are outside now, weather dependant, but they don't seem very active or very interested in grass. They hang out in the coop, roosting, or in a puddle of feathers somewhere, again, mostly indoors. Is this normal?? Thermometer says 65 but it is windy... am I torturing them?
