You wuzz!

I can't really speak for now. But in the past, one processor who self proclaimed to be the state leader, was showing their processing plant off to AQIS and industry when the government was amending legislation and they displayed appalling handling techniques and were proud of it. The scary part was they did not recognise how bad they were and they were acting inside their states requirements. In fairness to them the state requirements differed to other states - ie at that time they were permitted to process in that way.

Give me a minute while I climb down off this high horse.

Hmm...that sounds horrible.
So they where not necessarily killing the roos poorly, juts keeping, shipping and string the bodies and meat.
With the movement of humans it was clear that roos would take over, as you said before they only had 1 natural predator and as soon as you destroy dingos the whole food system falls.

Between that horrible green dragon/insect and roo meat smelling.. I'm not sure I feel like dinner anymore

Heheheee justtt kidding but still ewwww!

I keep seeing all the chook owners in America trying to find ways to keep their chooks going through the horrible cold, poor buggers.

MyHaven as I mentioned to Luke, that thing was not getting anywhere near me which includes sitting on my shoulder! lol My pets must have fins, feathers or fur, not armour! lol

Luke, yep, I am a wuzz, guilty as charged your honour!

Ouch Satay .. I think that one is definitely worth some time out from mopping and pretty much any other chores! Didn't the Doctor say you need to put your foot up and rest for at least a week?

SydneyChickens, yep, I feel sorry for our fellow chookie lovers in the parts of the US affected by the cold. Having to deal with frost bite in your feathered children must be so hard. It is ironic that a couple of days ago we were worried about losing ours through heat, some did :(

Saturday we peaked at about 41C and today was 29C; go figure!

Just hope we get rain out of it and not start a fire :(
