Me too, I was told to cluck or click to get their attention, but that seems to ware off for me.

I think Fancy gets about with a pocket full of sun flower seeds...the perfect bribe

There are times that it is a full time job Luke. But as with anything after a few years you start to wise up. 1 ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
I've found leg mites to be the most annoying and persistent little critters,while my Broodie's are on the nest I apply Vicks to their legs , dust them with pestine and sprinkle sulphur in the nest under the hay. This way the chicks are hatched into a relatively bug free environment .

Vicks? The vapour rub? True?
