I do too. I've nursed and babied her for so long now she thinks she's people. I call her Bubbles because of her bubbly eye.

Sorry to jump in but did anyone else get the massive storm on Saturday. I found a baby I would have said dead but I blow dried it and warmed it up then wrapped a towel around it and put it on hot water bottle and two hours later it wanted back to the flock so I put the hot water bottle in the coop and All was ok the next day.

Hope no one else was hit.

Fancychooklady these are the 2 Silkies I was telling you about - what colour would you call them, are they just 'grey'? One is much more notably striped than the other, the second one just has stripes in her wing feathers
And the cockerel has dull red wattles and comb with mulberry spots on them, I am wondering if he is pure (although his parents certainly looked pure) as he is out of the same pen as the two girls or is it just a bad fault that pops out now and then? What colour is he? Also just grey?

I would say the first 2 are silver partridge. The 3rd one has barring and almost looks cuckoo. This was my silver partridge .
