That is awesome news.

Ta :) Good luck with your hatch Satay... I'm trying to get eggs together that are even and consistent and once you start looking closely at them you start seeing how un symmetrical they are or the scratches and little bumps... lol, I thought I was egg crazy before :)
This is one of my pullets Maxine

I think it was the Austrolorp, Steve, but when I compare it to the brown egg it looks really pale. I guess I'll know for sure when I have another tiny egg to compare it too.

hahaha, egg OCD!!!
I like Maxine's fluffy white thigh feathers. How do you keep track of who lays what?

I watch them heaps and pretty much stalk them as soon as they are about to lay. When I seperate out the pullet pen I will be able to tell everyone's eggs. I've already got most of them sussed. This is my rumpless' egg

@cluckcluckluke I'm glad to hear your Yoko is on the mend.

It's been freezing here where I live on the South Sunny Coast. Luckily I've had 5 days off and didn't have to get out of bed early and brave the chill

@TheChookPatch those eggs are divine! A lovely product of your hard work and dedication. All the best at the Royal as well

Today I had a lovely lady I've been talking to in NZ come to my house today to take some shots of myself and my farmyard critters; my dogs, the horse and of course the chooky girls. I'll be sure to put a couple of them up when I receive them.
