I just witnessed our first predator incident, had a hawk bashing about around the flock. Seems like a few ruffled feathers was all we suffered though. I was afraid we lost our Sussex pullet, since she was nowhere to be found, but I sent one of the labs out to look for her, and she quickly found her hiding under a rock and some bushes outside our yard. Both the Sussex pullet and roo are really shaken, and there were loose feathers around both the spots I found them in, but no blood to be seen.

I'm in Warnbro a couple of streets back from the beach, nice size block for the chooks to have a scratch in, the photos below are from the this morning im sure the middle one is a roo but not sure about the other 2 [COLOR=B42000] [/COLOR]
My guess would be the first two in the first picture are roosters the one to the right looks kinda roosterish but a little hard to tell.
