Australia - Six states..and that funny little island.

Any ideas from anybody would be great.
My daughter who is 15 and 6'2" is terrified of the chickens. We all think this is pretty funny, but she runs across the yard when they come to her as they think she has food. She wasn't as scared of the 6' brown snake in the yard as she is of the chickens. She is never horrible to them but she doesn't like them at all.
What can I do to get her over it.

maybe let her spend time with some younger chicks and let them grow up with her. or introduce one chicken in a controlled environment

 Sorry for laughing but I have no idea. Perhaps tell her not to run. They may think it is a game and that is scaring her more.

Hi CWrite.

The big one is 71.3g but the other two are only 37.4 and 38.1. They are small new layer eggs. Where as the big one is fromy lorpx wyanadotte.

That's huge! We had our record breaking egg this week from MY Austrolorp at 64g, lol. She also took two days off to make it. : )
So I won't be picking up babies this week-end, but I have my order in as they had sold out. In 8 weeks of less I'll have a lavender Araucauna & a silver silky!

Hey Ash. Is it possible a pullet that has laid two blue hued eggs also lay light cream colour eggs? I am puzzled as I have collected two small eggs from new laying aras today with no blue ( I do understand they can sometimes lay twice )

Lol, I just got home from town and my 4 week old chicks greeted me on the driveway. They don't often see momma in high heels and went straight for my toes. Whilst the corro was busy trying to pry my little toe from the sandal the Wyandotte were pecking at the pattern on my skirt. It was a job to get to the door without stepping on anyone. Hungry little dinosaurs!
