All the chickens have gone spastic this morning. Everyone was loud and wanted out of the coop. Did that then they all followed me up the patio including babies. Threw some seeds and suddenly everyone is fighting everyone. Ummm girls theres plenty of food your not eating in the run....

I'm taking my BSL to be euthanised this afternoon. She's lost so much weight and I'm not sure if I can help her, so I think the kindest thing for her is to have her put to sleep.
She's had a good life with me while I've had her.

Oh that's a hard decision to make , but sometimes it's the kindest thing to do.

I'm taking her to the vet to have it done; some people may think that's daft and end her life with an axe, but she deserves to go with dignity.

K, sorry your chicken is sick. It's better to do it at the vet if you know you can't do it. Just make surd the trip is as stressfree as possible.

K we had the vet here Sunday and it cost $350 for advice and 4 tetanus shots. I have had my darling little ginger living inside for 2 months and I realized on Xmas eve that she just wasn't going to get better. She had sardines and pudding with custard and hubby put her down on Boxing Day.
Every time I walk through the foyer , I expect to see her and hear her growling at me to change her bed.
