Australia - Six states..and that funny little island.

Oh poor thing. I'd be doing what u are but @Fancychooklady would be better to know. I would think dislocation of hip ? Perhaps? It depends on how she was caught up
Thanks IamSamSam. She seems to have perked up a little with the warmth and I got a little Hydralyte in her (but at the time she was cold and not interested in it). I'm hoping when she warms up a bit more she'll take some even if by spoon. I've also added a little Aspirin to help with the pain. There's definitely something wrong with her left leg. She can move it but prefers not to.

Sam! Save me some I am on my way! YUM!

tandykins I am sorry to hear about your SLW hurting herself; they sure do get themselves into some precarious positions! Once again, I am as useless as the proverbial you know what on a male Cow!

Hoping it is just bruising from her struggling to free herself and her ‘lethargy’ is just from exertion and cold.

she is much better soon.

I would also be doing what you have done and will be listening closely to the advice of the more experienced among us in case I encounter a similar situation.

I'm not really confident, she seems to be fading. She feels really thin and is weakening further. I have no idea what happened to her. She's been wormed. She had lice when she came to us but was successfully deloused. She was slight but fine until today. I'll keep an eye on the other two SLWs she was with. They were still in quarantine so if it's a pathogen it should be contained.

Could just be injured , in which case keeping her warm and the aspirin is the correct course of action. The thinness worries me a little though. Ill thrift, tail down ..........what do her poops look like?

Hard to say since she hasn't pooped since I brought her in and her crop is empty. The poops I could see from the others look normal though. With the thinness I'd have thought worms but having been dewormed it seems somewhat unlikely. :/
