Thank yes we are it was scary for a while that much water I'll upload more tomorrow but it was like a river running down the side to the lake at the back ! Garage was under water too. Storm has passed and I think we will be clear tomorrow!

Hello everyone

got one question my queen chook ISA brown keeps picking on my bantam araucana is there any way I can stop her from picking on her too much? The araucana has sustained some bad injuries. Is there anything I can put on her wounds to prevent infection?

If the wounds are bad you will need to quarantine her because the others will peck at her wounds. Depending on how bad they are , irrigate them with saline and spray them with a wound care spray such as cetrigen . Pics would help.

It's night time here in SA at the moment will get some in the morning before I go to work . Maybe it would be best if she free ranges with her mate Lloyd the oegb roo for the day while I'm at work to isolate her from the flock. At night she does roost with all of the chooks without being pecked. She has a wound near the nose area that's weeping and I have cleaned it up. She's a really sweet chook but the ISA brown is just as nice if only she would stop the pecking.

Oh no, it's bad enough loosing them without catching the predator in the act and having to wait for him to move on. Can you relocate the culprit while he is sidetracked in the cage?

As long as you feel that the others aren't likely to get curious and make matters worse. If the bullying escalates I would remove the bully.
