Australia - Six states..and that funny little island.

Well that was the cutest thing I've seen so far today.. Wish I could have a bunny here, totally understand why it's illegal but that doesn't mean I like it. Speaking of cuteness, last night I got a video of the kittens moving around in mummas belly. Off to the vet today to get her needles and worming up to date before the babies arrive then we wait

Took Carl to the vet yesterday in the end, you just sort of know when things are bad enough I think. They flushed and suctioned her crop but it has moved on from compacted to sour. She threw up on the way home and the stench was incredible, we had to open windows. Sadly this morning it is back to feeling like a crop full of play dough so they are going to open it up and clean it out, flush it and sew back up. They are not optimistic she will survive the surgery as she is just bones, obviously it's been stopping her getting any food for a couple of weeks and because I'm not always the one locks and opens up I just hadn't noticed her going down hill. But she said if they don't try she is going to die anyway so nothing to loose. They are going to giver her some fluids first to help and then do it later today. So fingers crossed she is strong enough to pull through. This is our that chook, the one everyone loves that just is special so really praying I don't have to tell the kids we lost her this afternoon

Well everyone, I have been AWOL the last few weeks. I was on holidays while I welcomed a new puppy into the family, another Dalmatian we have called Yahtzee. He is my new show dog, so hoping for some nice wins with him in the future.
Our first show is next month at Blackbutt, but will be heading to the Ekka with him on the Friday 14th August if anyone was interested in coming to watch and meet up!

I've read through all the previous posts I've missed. Sincere condolences for anyone who has lost their feathered pals. Congrats for everyone on new arrivals!

Nothing really much to report on my end. Last week I found Squeak, one of my Dorkings in the horse paddock!! She'd flown the fence to 'greener' pastures, thank goodness she decided to go in there and not into the yard where the dogs are!
Clipped her wing and she's stayed put.

Many of the girls are moulting really bad, especially the Welsummers. One was nearly bald, poor dear.

The newer additions are growing well, my niece has called her little Pekin Tinkerbell.

Oh, and I'm none too pleased about the rain we are supposed to be getting over the next few days.

I'll be thinking of you and Carl today. :hugs
It's easy to miss the symptoms early on with chickens being so stoic and all.
