Bed time tonight, I heard lots of peeping again and Cilla, Crystal and KiKi were all on the roost.  However, Cilla was again next to the wall and there was much pushing and shoving to be next to her.

I left them to it while I did my chores and I could still hear lots and lots of peeping.  Then it went quiet and I thought 'Yep, back in the nest box'.  But when I went for a last check at the end of my chores, KiKi and Crystal were on either side of Cilla    I do not know if all the peeping was one crawling over the other, if one jumped down and back up again, causing Cilla to shuffle over or whether they all jumped down and back up again but the good news is they are still on the roost, snuggled up on either side of Mum

Thanks so much @krista74. That really helps to hear . The vet just rang to say she's out of surgery and I thought I'd just update you all so good to hear the lost weight doesn't mean it can't be done .

She did really well and is sitting up in recovery, can only imagine what the cats and dogs are thinking . So so far so good. They pulled a big lump of long grass and other foliage out so looks like that's our culprit.

Sounds promising. Now that the worst is over this clip explains it all.

Sweet ! Best not to have them on newspaper it can cause splayed leg and slipped hock. Paper hand towel is a better option.

They cleaned it out and coated with probiotic.

Wood shavings are ok but you need to elevate the water and feed so they don't kick shavings into them.

Fancy OMG! I started watching that video and thought that I might have to stop if I got grossed out but it was way too fascinating! How could she have so much grass in her? That was amazing. And, she was such a good little girl.
