they are fertile too Lloyd my bantam roo has been mating with every one of my hens which are all standard size breed. I don't know how he does it my barnie is like twice his size!

He's brave. One look at my Light Sussex sent my silkie roos running...

My Australorps all had black eyes. My Barter Black (Australorp x RIR) had red eyes though. Perhaps she's some kind of cross?

X2 that's why I said cross. Lol I first said lorp till I noticed the eye not being black. I think Satay called it " black sex link"

Seriously though, if you want hardy, reliable layers, you can't go past Dorkings! They look so attractive too next to my Welsummers.

I hope yours start laying soon my pullets have all started laying so I'm making some frozen themed chocolate cupcake as requested by my girls

candles my marans egg in the Bator last night one egg was an early quitter the rest I will have to really looked at Friday before lockdown
