I had to laugh at a family heading back to tassie after 3 weeks in Bali. The look on their face when I said hope you have your snow gear ready ! Lol

I flew back in from Sydney yesterday . Nice to catch up with family , hopefully it will be under better circumstances next time. It was Too late to feed the chooks and they were ravenous this AM. I was only gone 3 days and you guys had racked up 65 posts, so I'll catch up today. The sun is shining and all is well at inlet farm. Big comp this weekend and the farrier has a full day booked in here. Thanks Sam x

Excitement over load this morning. I got a marans egg and a quail egg. Maybe they heard me when I said i'd have to go buy eggs this weekend if they didn't get their acts together or maybe they are having a go and that might be it... Time will tell.

Still going to be a while before I get any quail eggs. I also took a closer look at one of my quails last night and noticed some - uh oh - rusty looking feathers. Here's to hoping it was just a trick of the light. They're only 2 weeks old, I still have hope!

If they are japanese quails you should know by 6 weeks.

Yup, they are Jap quails. At the moment they're only 2.5 weeks so I have a while go to. Fingers crossed.
