Never heard it referred to as that before. Very common if the roo to hen ratio is wrong. Not really an injury , her feathers will grow back.

appps, locknest4 & Teila ,.... I noticed appps and locknest4 - you both use only iPad and mobile phones to access BYC ... so thought that might have been the reason you can
see these Chinese / Korean posts. Then Teila said she uses Windows 7 Pro .... so that blew that theory out the door. I only ever access BYC on my computer .... a PC, not laptop.
And I still use the faithful old XP - by choice. .... Will try and keep it - get a new installation of it if needed - it is a brilliant system. ( and now you all think I am really crazy !!

I do not want to sit and look at Chinese or Korean writing ... but find I cannot even find "New Posts" ... on here, which I think Teila mentioned is where they are. In searching that, it comes up with a page of lists of most recent posts on all kinds of subjects and in many different forums and threads, and I still cannot see anything untoward. I am now thinking I don't use BYC the way I should. Although admittedly this is the only forum / thread I have anything to do with - unless I am given a link to go to by other posters.

If I am not careful I will become obsessed by this weird situation - as nowhere can I see these spammers ( a good thing of course ).

I think I should drop that subject now - could become ( if not already ) ultra boring.

To sjturner79 ..... so very sorry to hear of the loss of your beautiful Lavender Araucana. It is always very upsetting to lose a loved chicken. Very sad.

Teila .... that pumpkin is fantastic. Love the slanted eyes .... makes it look even more spooky. Have never gutted and carved a pumpkin myself. Might try a small one, one day !!

sjturner79 ....... I so like your newly purchased chickens and the photos --- I doubt I could resist buying a few at an auction - but with hubby now retired ???.... I guess he could build new coops etc. for extras. Nope - --- quit thinking things Annie.

To all who are hatching chickens ........ good luck and good perseverence to you all. Especially to those introducing chickens to broodies etc. I know nothing about all that, and probably never will, although I have often thought how wonderful it would be.

Annie I only have access to this site via my iPad. At the top of the page their are bars, homepage, articles, coops etc. the homepage is where the spammers are but the mods usually deal with them swiftly. It's a shame you don't have access to them as there are some very educational articles .

Lol @anniebee. You are looking in the right spot just at the wrong time. As soon as a moderator notices they all get deleted so it gets cleaned up. Normally it's there only for an hour or two.

I think the main problem is the time difference. The spammers come on when the mods are in bed, but of course that's when we are on. I get ' most recent posts ' at the bottom of the page.

I've tried and hopefully haven't missed any posts. Love the baby photos. And sorry to read of losses. Had my hands full lately
