Sure sounds like a great present to me wooklet. Can't remember if you are in town on on acerage but if you are in town wait til you start saying oh just another couple of acerages of land lol.

5 is a nice size I think... Thats what I am looking for now. My 13 is too big for what I want later in life... Also looking closer to Melbourne. 2 hours each way is taking so much time out of my weekends lately. Any bigger than that and I think it just leaves me too open to have 1000 ducks instead of the 100 or so I plan.

Hi everyone

Wow, feels like ages since I've had a spare 5 mins to check my favourite forum. Lots to catch up on! Scoopy, how's Brick going? I really hope she's made a full recovery. Ducky, any more news on the postal shooting? I did hear about it on the news last week, how awful for you. Sorry to all those who lost little chickies too. And Wooklet, I hope you get that new coop! I just got a new one a couple of months ago and I already wish it was bigger! My backyard is only a couple of hundred square metres and I'd kill for even half an acre of land. I have grand plans of moving out of town one day.......

Hope you're all doing great and are enjoying the festive season. This is my first chrissie with my flock. I went to mum's house and she has a new stocking hanging above the stairs with my chikens' names on it! Go grandma!

it does get a little crazy this time of year doesnt it Chickenmumma. Thats sounds so sweet.. My ducks get new swimming pools for Christmas each year- but this year they got them early- so I will have to think up something else to get for them- I might just treat them to a heap of yummy things to eat on the day... Mangoes, watermelon., strawberries and tomatoes are the top of the list for them.

funny thing is I live up the road from the Ingham's hatchery factory too bad those chooks become the nation's dinner.
