Australia - Six states..and that funny little island.

Chicken hikes - that sounds like fun, for them.

I don't know whether they enjoyed it, I can't imagine it would have been fun, it's very overgrown in there and they were being "chased" by me and the pruners trying to rescue them.

Fancy, what exactly is your little blue laced girl called? The breed colour I mean? That is gorgeous feathering!

Am I the only one with about 15 breeds they want to add to their collection? Lol

Haha, I've been trying to resist temptation for awhile now, soo many beautiful breeds. She is the result of breeding blue laced red Wyandotte. When you breed blue / blue their are 3 possibilities, blue, splash or black. She is a splash. Very pretty garden ornaments. :D

Glad to hear that Carl is still ticking along. Don't worry too much about the poop, watery poop means that she has at least stayed hydrated.
Bright green poop is more a sign of malnutrition .
Give her time. :)

Lovely eggs there Deej211 .....

Not at all surprised at the pink from your RIR. My Molly RIR lays nothing but pinks, but throws me a curly one here and there which has me thinking Mandy Welsummer is back on the job. Molly only very occasionally 'sprays' her eggs with a few nice little brown dots. !! 99% though, are a beautiful pink.

But I know it's not Mandy - she's in slow but full moult, and does nothing but grumble and growl all day. Doesn't look too hot either, with feathers / tail missing. Maybe one day ( ???

) she will lay again - then again, maybe not. I think she revels in menopause.

Cheers .....

thank you ladies. I love his colour. Hes pretty stunning. Ooooh i like Blaze. That suits him i think. Cardinal is also pretty great. I had a gold spangled hamburg called phoenix once. She was gorgeous.

Blaze is a great name .... prefer that to my suggestion of Phoenix.

I am sure you will choose a name that is appropriate. Lovely bird he is too.

Cheers .....

A sad update from me this morning. For those that remember me posting that Zeus was diagnosed with bone cancer in October. He lost his battle yesterday,:hit He was doing well til yesterday morning when i went to let him out he couldn't walk properly and unfortunately i knew that that was his time. We got the vet out and and he peacefully went to sleep. While i am heartbroken this morning the vet tells me that he was some what of a miracle boy as he had never heard of one lasting as long as he did and to have no side effects from the meds he was on, he says was just about unheard of.
